I’d love to write one about Canada as well, or if you need more ideas to add to this one… We run one of Canada’s top travel websites and YouTube channels and have done many road trips across Canada including our 150-day road trip back in 2017, which was made into a 12-part travel series that’s now even used to in schools across Canada.

Canada rocks!

I drive from Vancouver to Thunder Bay, Ontario almost every year, and the scenery is breathtaking. Especially going through the Rockies, but I also love the enchanting scenery in the Prairies! Maybe next summer, I’ll continue from Thunder Bay to Montreal

Hey Mike!

As we mention in the post, this is just a template. Folks are free to add in more cities or less — everyone will have their own preferences. This is just to get ideas flowing and give everyone a place to start their planning.

I thought Matt was an outdoorsman. Canada is all about the great outdoors. This post is missing that big time. If a city centric person, go to Europe. very disappointing article. I travel a lot but spend my wilderness outdoors there, Alaska, or remote off the grid pacific islands Incredible. I could mention so many fabulous outdoor places in Canada. Just shocking that this focuses on a city centric road trip. Crazy. If focusing on cities, fly, of better yet, go elsewhere

Definitely! Unless you had an RV and more time, I would make some big changes if traveling with kids 🙂

Yeah, this is an insanely poor use of time unless one is really into prairies. Calgary to Toronto is 38 HOURS OF DRIVING and for that you get to see Regina, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, and Algonquin Park. Really?
Spend more time at your destinations instead of in your car. If you have time for 38 hours of driving, take an epic road trip on small roads around the maritimes instead of hour after hour after hour on the big highway.

Forget ever traveling if you have kids. It’s impossible. Trust me, I’ve tried it.

I personally would cut one of two locations and keep some quiet time to rejuvenate and recharge my senses, but that’s just me!

May be a mix of car rentals and flights would do the trick.
